The more you practice praying together, the more comfortable you’ll become. The following will get you started:

PRAYER FOR HUSBAND & WIFE

Thank you, Father, for my [husband/wife]. Please help us to be open and honest with each other.

Help us to be kind and patient. Teach us to show appreciation every day; to honor each other; and help our marriage to grow stronger and stronger.

PRAYING WITH A FRIEND

Lord, thank you for [name of friend].
Bless [name] today. Please keep [him/her] safe.

Thank-you that we can trust each other with our concerns and our heart’s desires. Thank-you for this gift of friendship.

PRAYERS FOR FAMILY

God, please help my family. We need your help with __________.

Please direct us to the scriptures that will give us clarity and comfort.

Show us how to place more attention on helping each other, than on ourselves. Let us become encouragers for one another.

PRAYING WITH YOUNG CHILDREN

God please help me to forgive others.
Help me to be obedient.
Help me to be happy.

Please help us to understand that you always hear our prayers; that we can
call on you whenever we are frightened and you will calm us on the inside.
Thank you God, for everything.  

PRAYER FOR CHILDREN

God I pray that you will protect [my/our] children and watch over them every day.

Help us to guide them on the right path. Keep them safe from any harm—physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Send your angels to protect them and defend them against the Enemy.

PRAYER FOR HEALTH

Lord, [partner’s name/I] need(’s) healing today.

Give [partner’s name/me] the strength and the wisdom to overcome this health issue.

Place doctors and people around [partner’s name /me] who can help.

PRAYER FOR EMPLOYMENT

Lord, please lead [partner’s name/me] to the perfect employment opportunity.

Align [partner’s name/me] to be at the right place at the right time for your will to be done. We seek your strength persevering and refusing to accept discouragement.

PRAYER FOR CERTAINTY

Please help [partner’s name/me] to focus on You and not on circumstances.

I know that you will do what’s best for [partner’s name/me] in every situation because your Word tells us that ALL things work together for good.

PRAYER FOR FAITH

God you are always with us. Please guide our every action.
